Palette Editor
Bringing out the essential character in the fractal images that you
find requires easy, precise control over the colours.
One of Fractal eXtreme's most exceptional features is its powerful
palette editor. Instead of forcing you to painstakingly edit every
one of the hundreds of available colours individually, Fractal eXtreme
lets you define dozens of colours simultaneously by dragging around
control points to make smooth gradations of red, green, and blue.
Besides the usual features such as colour cycling, Fractal eXtreme's
palette editor has multi-level undo and separate editing of the
colour used for the fractal's interior.
It also has a 'stripes' option, which allows the
even and odd colours of the palette to be defined by separate curves, in
order to make the iteration bands stand out more boldly.
